The correlation between macroscopic properties and domain structure was investigated in this work. Using PFM the domain structures of two promising families of lead-free ferroelectrics (potassium sodium niobate and bismuth sodium titanate) were analyzed. The domain structures were compared with a set of experiments done in ”soft” and ”hard” doped lead zirconate titanate (PZT).
