Anthony Thomas Digitally Tunable Impedance Matching Circuits in Bulk CMOS Technology
156 Seiten, Dissertation Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (2014), Softcover, A5
Nowadays, With the increasing complexity of embedded systems communication architectures, communication performance achieved in terms of quality versus integration is affected. To overcome such constraints, the tunable components have become a requirement to improve the efficiency of radio frequency communication, while still keeping the system as compact as possible. Tunable components such as impedance matching circuits are becoming popular for modifying frequency bands for use within low noise amplifiers (LNA) and power amplifiers (PA). Also applicable to antenna impedance purposes, they can correct the impedance mismatch generated by environmental conditions, and enhance a reduced antenna size. This thesis presents new contributions on tunable RF impedance matching circuits for embedded RF applications based on Bulk CMOS technology.
