Johannes Mayet Centrifugal Vibration Absorbers: Theory and Application
195 Seiten, Dissertation Technische Universität München (2015), Softcover, A5
This thesis covers the design, dynamical behavior and application to automotive powertrains of centrifugal vibration absorbers. The existing theory on tautochronic centrifugal point-mass vibration absorbers is reformulated and extended to a general class of absorber systems. The nonlinear effects of small non-tautochronicity are discussed and design criteria for robust centrifugal vibration absorber systems consisting of multiple absorbers are derived and numerically investigated. The mechanical concept, the characteristic system behavior and the powertrain integration of a developed prototype as well as experimental results of vehicle test runs are topics of this work.
