Anshuma Pathak Structural and electronic properties of organophosphonate monolayers on alumina and silicon oxide
186 Seiten, Dissertation Technische Universität Braunschweig (2015), Softcover, A5
With increasing interest in molecular electronics, a detailed understanding of the charge transport process through molecular systems has become essential. Self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) comprising nanometer-long organic molecules are strong candidates for various applications in organic electronics. Organophosphonate SAMs are of particular interest in this regard as they form stable and robust monolayer films on a large variety of metal and semiconductor oxides. The structural arrangement of the molecules in the monolayer film is expected to have direct impact on the charge transport properties of the film in ways that might lead to more useful applications in practical electronics, sensing, and others.
