Daniel Fraunholz The Deceptive Angle: Threat Intelligence and Resiliency for Industrial Information Assurance
223 Seiten, Dissertation Technische Universität Kaiserslautern (2019), Softcover, A5
The continuous digitization of the industrial domain introduces major advantages for production efficiency. However, increased interconnectivity and softened networking perimeters expose industrial components to threats unknown before. Traditional security techniques, such as firewalls, anti-virus software and signature-based intrusion detection systems, hardly cope with this transformation.
Deception, the deliberate delusion of others, has proven to be effective and efficient in information assurance. It is perfectly suited to support traditional security techniques.
In this work, an overview of the current state of deception in information assurance is given. An emphasis of this work is the automation of deceptive countermeasures.
