Eveli Soode-Schimonsky Environmental impact assessment of the horticultural products asparagus, strawberries, roses and orchids according to the Product Carbon Footprint and Product Environmental Footprint methodologies
202 Seiten, Dissertation Technische Universität München (2019), Hardcover, A5
The thesis makes methodological suggestions for conducting a consistent environmental impact analysis of horticultural products. It gives recommendations for consistent system boundaries and for reducing the emissions across 15 impact categories. The thesis also identifies the distribution channel of horticultural products with the lowest emissions and analyses the use stage scenarios based on empirical data. The Product Carbon Footprint and the Product Environmental Footprint methodologies were applied to case studies on the strawberry, asparagus, rose and orchid production systems in Germany and Estonia.
