Christian Bilas Data-Driven Models and Signaling Networks for Cardiac Growth

This study focuses on patient-specific calibration of cardiac mechanics models using a unique data set resembling pediatric cardiac development. The calibration is performed on a beating heart model as well as for a cardiac growth model, which uses the surface matching framework. Signaling networks model heart growth on a cellular level and are dynamically coupled to the heart growth model. Additionally, an image-based atlas construction method is used to develop a representative heart shape for broader applications.
