Mohammad Reza Ahmadi Adaptive Architecture for Fault-Tolerant, Hard Real-Time and Integrated Plug-and-Fly Avionics
166 Seiten, Dissertation Universität Stuttgart (2017), Softcover, B5
Modern avionic systems are complex systems with high safety and hard real-time requirements, as well as complex operating modes. The corresponding architectures are distributed, integrated, redundant, and fault-tolerant. Owing to their complexity and strict certification procedures, avionics are often rigid during service and provide no or very limited capability for system variations during series production. For some systems, this may result in a conflict, as the necessity for customization in series production or for alignment with operational changes in service will increase continuously. Therefore, this thesis introduces and evaluates the architecture of an adaptive and integrated avionic system. Such architecture makes fault-tolerant and hard real-time plug-and-fly avionics feasible. During an on-ground organization phase, such systems would be able to cope highly automatically with functional and topological changes in the avionics.
