Zusammenfassung / Abstract

The objective of Supply Chain Event Management is the reduction of disruptions that can occur during the execution of processes in the supply chain. Although process-orientation is a common concept in today’s Business Information Systems, current Supply Chain Event Management Systems do not support the notion of process-orientation. In this thesis the potential benefits of process-oriented Supply Chain Event Management Systems are discussed and a modeling language that fulfills the corresponding requirements is developed. The modeling language is evaluated with a prototypical Supply Chain Event Management System with a use-case from the German steel industry.
