Zusammenfassung / Abstract

This study developed façade refurbishment guidelines for 1980s multi-storey masonry residential buildings in the cold region of China, consisting of 18 refurbishment package variants, 80 recommendation matrices with corresponding parameters, a user’s manual, and economic optimization methods. Based on multi-objective optimization methods, the guidelines provide personalized refurbishment solutions for different building, façade and client types, targeting energy efficiency and environmental quality improvements.
