To simulate the material and structural behaviour of composite components more realistic, it is important to integrate the manufacturing process data into a virtual process chain and a structural analysis. Therefore, an algorithm for transferring finite element data between varying simulation approaches and for the subsequent prediction of the material properties influenced by the manufacturing effects is needed. This work proposes an integrated simulation approach, which can reduce the development time and costs and is applicable for unidirectional composites as well as for non-crimped, woven and braided fabrics.
