Julian Theis Robust and Linear Parameter-Varying Control of Aeroservoelastic Systems
170 Seiten, Dissertation Technische Universität Hamburg-Harburg (2018), Softcover, A5
The present dissertation considers control of aeroservoelastic systems within the framework of robust control and linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems. Aeroservoelastic systems are characterized by a strong interdependence of rigid-body dynamics, structural dynamics, fluid dynamics, and feedback control systems. As models for these systems are of high order, the first contribution of this thesis is a set of tools for LPV model order reduction. Specifically, an interpolation method based on local modal decomposition and a global parameter-varying oblique projection method based on local measures of controllability and observability are proposed. The second contribution is the development of systematic control design procedures along the lines of a comprehensive review of the mixed sensitivity loopshaping paradigm. Models of several flexible unmanned aircraft serve as application examples for the techniques developed in this thesis. Two detailed design studies for active flutter suppression and structural mode attenuation conclude the dissertation.
