Zusammenfassung / Abstract

This thesis critically compares different approaches to active noise control in motor vehicles and examines innovative concepts for improving performance. The focus lies on the model-based development of a system integrated into the exhaust tract to eliminate undesired noise components. After physical simulations of the system, trials on a test vehicle are carried out on an acoustic roller dynamometer to prove its functionality. The low efficiency of electroacoustic actuators (loudspeakers) represents a challenge for systems integrated into the exhaust tract. A partial goal of this research work is therefore the development of an actuator for efficient sound generation within the exhaust gas system. As an innovative solution, the resonance of the loudspeaker is continuously adjusted to the current operating point. In the following, the system integrated into the exhaust tract is compared with the possible applications of active noise control in the driver's cab of work machines using the example of an agricultural machine. First the acoustic situation is analyzed and first tests are carried out to discuss specific challenges for the application of active noise control in working machines.
