Anke Schmitt Creep behavior of lamellar FeAl/FeAl2 alloys
142 Seiten, Dissertation Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (2019), Softcover, A5
Composite materials are of interest due to the flexibility they provide to tailor their properties for specific applications. In this context, eutectic as well as eutectoid alloys offer the opportunity to design fibrous or lamellar microstructures of two or more phases that are thermodynamically stable and are often referred to as "in-situ" composites. In this effort, a lamellar arrangement of the intermetallic phases FeAl and FeAl2 within individual "colonies" resulting from a eutectoid decomposition process is discussed with respect to its elevated temperature deformation behavior.
