Wilson Ombati Nyang'au
Microcantilever-based measurement of mass and magnetic moment of liquidborne magnetic micro and nanoparticles

159 Seiten, Dissertation Technische Universität Braunschweig (2021), Softcover, A5

Zusammenfassung / Abstract

MEMS resonant cantilevers have appreciably and diversely been utilized in many fields of science such as in biomedicine and in environmental monitoring to detect and monitor pollutants in the air and in liquids. Compared to operation in liquid media, operation of cantilever-based sensors in air generally gives a higher detection efficiency due to minimal mechanical damping. In this dissertation, a cantilever-based resonant sensing system is developed for measuring the mass and magnetic moment of liquid-dispersed particles, and deployable particle sampling strategies devised.
