Pham Hai Dang Le Detection of Steganography in Images with Statistical Models
204 Seiten, Dissertation Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen (2014), Softcover, B5
Steganography is the science and art of camouflaging secret communications. The reverse process, the detection of the presence or absence of steganographic manipulation in an information-carrying medium is called steganalysis. This book focuses on tools for blind steganalysis in digital images where the specific method of steganographic manipulation is unknown.
Blind steganalysis can be divided into the stages: feature extraction, training, and classification. Feature extraction aims at condensing the input image into the few relevant features which facilitate the identification of steganographical manipulation. In blind steganalysis, the detection is based on the input image alone so that a training process is needed to derive a decision rule from a set of training data. Finally, this decision rule is applied in the classification process in order to decide whether the input image is manipulated or not. This book focuses on each stage of blind steganalysis.
