Bernhard Markus Krause New enzyme-triggered CO-releasing molecules as potential biologically active agents
541 Seiten, Dissertation Universität Köln (2022), Hardcover, A5
In this dissertation, the concept of enzyme-triggered CO-releasing molecules (ET-CORMs) was exploited and extended by developing potential antibiotic agents to overcome antibacterial resistance. A reliable and efficient 7-step stereoselective synthesis was developed to ensure access to penicillin-conjugated ET-CORM (PenET-CORM) prodrugs. Additionally, penicillin-conjugates with fluorescent probes were prepared.
Furthermore, ET-CORM conjugates with the ketoacid phenylpyruvate and the immunometabolite itaconate were successfully synthesised and characterised with regard to their CO release kinetics.
