Christoph Resch Enhancing Projective Spatial Augmented Reality in Industry
154 Seiten, Dissertation Technische Universität München (2016), Softcover, A5
Projective Spatial Augmented Reality (P-SAR) techniques use a projector-camera system to augment the physical environment with virtual information. In an industrial context, this technology can assist humans to increase productivity of processes that are dominated by manual work. Such processes exist in prototyping, manufacturing, quality assurance (QA), and service. P-SAR visualizations range from simple welding spot marks (in prototyping and QA) up to complex textured surface models to evaluate and compare design variants in early phases of product development. This thesis describes methods for interactively tracking complex-shaped physical objects and for the semi-automatic calibration of a projector-camera system in the P-SAR context.
