Mario Schwartz Fully integrated GaAs-based quantum photonic circuits: resonant generation, splitting and detection of single-photon emission on-chip
203 Seiten, Dissertation Universität Stuttgart (2018), Softcover, A5
A photonic circuit integrates several optical elements on a single chip. If these elements work in the regime of quantum optics one speaks of quantum photonic circuits. They have the potential to bring forth new technologies, for example in terms of quantum computation and simulation. Despite the fact that only a few building blocks are strictly necessary, their simultaneous realization on the same chip is highly challenging. In this context, the work at hand investigates fundamental quantum photonic circuits on a monolithic semiconductor platform, consisting of semiconductor quantum dots, GaAs waveguides and superconducting nanowires.
